If you’re holding a grudge, get over yourself on Valentine’s Day.
People and nations fall in and out of favor regularly. During World War II, the U.S. battled with Japan and Germany. Today we’re allies and trading partners. Sushi and VW Bugs are part of our everyday culture while American hipsters aspire to visit Tokyo and Berlin. In retrospect, war consistently appears to be an epic waste of life and energy.
If countries can make amends after so much loss, so can individuals. Give yourself a present on Valentine’s Day. Make love not war! It’s about letting go and growing up. Been there.
