ILYO In The News: Name Bloopers

Our last post on the pros and cons of name change didn’t address every consideration. Some names just don’t work together.

Speaking of work, WSJ reporter Sue Shellenberger uncovered financial bias in hiring women who opt to amend their birth certificates. Her article, The Name Change Dilemma, received 6482 online comments, confirming that marital labels trigger the “I Love You Often (ILYO)…just not always” conversation.

What’s in a name?

Julie: Shakespeare nailed it in Romeo and Juliet, “A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.”

Jennie: Much Ado About Nothing.
