I Love You Often

. . . just not always

Love Lessons From Repurposed Buttons

Love Lessons From Repurposing Buttons

Repurposing buttons sparked an insightful lesson in love and relationships. It’s a stretch, although a seemingly logical one, so please stay with me and read on.

Whether you’re a jewelry designer, traveling, or just want to organize your bling, using buttons to pair earrings is pretty awesome. It’s especially helpful for those of you who have multiple piercings and loads of small studs that mysteriously disappear like missing socks. Affix your little gems to larger buttons and they’ll never get lost again.

So where are the love lessons?

Over time and repeated wear, once favored clothes and accompanying spare buttons eventually lose their appeal… kind of like a stale relationship. Your dated and worn-out threads may even end up in a giveaway pile, while the buttons are just forgotten altogether.

Give love a second chance, like these repurposed buttons. Consider upcycling the old and tired, or start completely anew. Just think of those orphaned fasteners in the laundry room closet, getting invited back into the bedroom bureau drawer. Who would have guessed those castaway buttons would ever become keepers of the family jewels?

With a change in perspective, miracles do happen.

Once again, the I Love You Often…just not always mantra applies to love, life and other good stuff.

Glad you like this. Using big funky buttons to display earrings in a boutique would be interesting.

Having no piercings or tattoos(Leviticus 19:28 although they look great on everyone but me..even my own kid) I am momentarily…silenced.
